Hi I’m Tony. I am a fully qualified Government Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) and I am passionate about road safety.
I live in Carterton. I know the area very well having grown up here and having attended Carterton Community College in my youth. My interests include Football, Squash, Running and Cycling. My aim is to get fitter, sometimes it feels like a losing battle, but I will not give in!!
Before choosing to become a driving instructor I spent 24 years in the Armed Forces serving in Ireland, Germany, Kosovo, Kenya, Canada, USA and Afghanistan. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in the Forces and I am thankful for all of the experiences I encountered and the skills I gained.
I became a Driving Instructor because I have always enjoyed teaching people different skills and I was always told that I was a calm and relaxed person that would make a good instructor.
I was fortunate to be trained by LDC in the latest coaching and training techniques so you can be assured the training I give will be of the highest standard. I chose to work with LDC because everybody is different and the LD system allows for flexibility in lessons so that you learn to drive safely at a rate that suits you. I aim to make every lesson enjoyable and as productive as possible. The LD system just helps me to do this more effectively. The LD system also provides students and/or their partners/parents with an indication of what progress is being made by the student which I think is an excellent system and personally would have loved to have had something like this when I was learning to drive.
Lessons are always conducted in a calm, friendly and relaxed manner as I firmly believe in making pupils feel at ease during lessons. Well I hope this gives you a brief idea about me so please feel free to click here to "Contact me"
